A word from Glenn Gary’s Facebook Page: “

Gary Flesher’s Obituary: Gary Glenn Flesher, age 70, formerly of Weston, passed away on Sunday, Sept. 18, 2016, in the Complex Care Hospital at Ridgelake in Sarasota, Fla., following an extended illness.
He was born in Weston on July 27, 1946: a son of the late Herbert Henry Flesher and Biddi Bernadine Taylor.
After graduating from Weston High School in 1964, he became an honored veteran of the U.S. Navy, having served during the late 60s. Later, he returned to Lewis County and served as a magistrate. In 1986 his family moved to Irvine, Cali., where he was employed as a CFO. In the 90s, Gary moved his family to Virginia where he also worked as a CFO for an engineering company in Northern Virginia. He continued to be an active part of the magic community including serving as president of the International Brotherhood of Magicians Washington D.C. chapter and performing Washington DC’s longest running magic show at the Westin Hotel.
When he retired to Venice, Fla., he opened a magic theater and continued to perform, which had been his passion since childhood. As a member of the Society of American Magicians, He enjoyed competing in annual conferences and performing magic shows in DC, Cali., and Fla. He won “Best Manipulation Act” twice at the Society of American Magicians’ conference and “Best Act of Competition.”
Flesher is survived by his wife of 38 years, Judi Straley Probst Flesher, of Weston; one son, Robert Flesher of Austin, Texas; two sisters, Jeanne Lynch of Venice, Fla. (formerly of Weston) and Marti Flesher Hayes of Severn, Md. and several nieces and nephews.
His request for cremation has been honored. Friends and family will gather to honor the life of this accomplished businessman and spellbinding performer at the Pat Boyle Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 144 Hackers Creek Road in Jane Lew, from 4-6 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 3. A Celebration of Life Service will follow at 6 p.m. from the Pat Boyle Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Rick Garavaglia officiating.
